No throne in the hall, just dust on the road In

a town called Ziklag David

rode south with a hundred and scarred Saul at his back

but the promise still burned Six hundred men with their hands

on their swords Living on land where the borderlines turned No

palace of cedar, no banner stood tall Just wives, sons, daughters,

and a town called Ziklag He was not yet a king,

but he carried the call And the fire on the hill

would test it all Rise from the ashes, rise from the

fall When the smoke covered Ziklag, the Lord still heard the

call No crown on his head, no throne in the hall

But God said pursue, and David recovered all

They came back weary from the Philistine line But the sky

over home had gone black The gates were burned and the

houses were cold And the ones that they loved had been

taken from camp The mighty men broke till no strength could

remain Then grief turned to anger and they reached for his

name David stood lonely where the burned timbers lay And strengthened

himself in the Lord that day Ride from the ashes, rise

from the fall When the smoke covered Ziklag, the Lord still

heard the call No crown on his head, no throne in

the hall But God said, pursue And David recovered all.

Bring the apod.

Ask the Lord.

Shall I chase them?

Shall I draw a sword?

Through the silence came the call.

Pursue them, David.

You shall recover all.

They found the servant left out in the field, gave him

bread, gave him water to rise. He pointed the road where

the raiders had gone to the camp where they feasted with

stolen lives. Then David came down like a stone through the

dust. And what had been taken was restored by the Lord

Rise from the ashes, rise from the fall When the smoke

covered Ziklag, the Lord still heard the call No crown on

his head, no throne in the hall But God said pursue,

and David recovered all Before

the crown Before the throne There was fire on the road

And God brought them home
