The Portion of Naboth

1 Kings 21 · 6:29

Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. The king wanted it for a garden of herbs and offered a better vineyard, or the worth of it in money. Naboth's answer is the whole of his refusal: The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.
