Churches & ministries

For Churches & Ministries

Free Bible study, teacher guides, music and video for churches, small groups, schools and families, in four languages. Free to use in ministry.

In a small church classroom, a man at a whiteboard teaches from a hand-drawn timeline as five adults listen.

Cinematic Bible Songs is built to be used, not simply browsed. A pastor can prepare a lesson, a small group can work through a Bible book, a teacher can bring music and video into class, a family can use the games together, and a ministry can point people toward studies of the people, places, and passages of Scripture. The site is free to use, and the material is organized so that you can begin with the Bible text and move outward into teaching, reflection, music, video, and related resources.

Use cases

Prepare a lesson

The Teacher Guides are made for pastors, families, churches, classrooms, small groups, and one-to-one discipleship. They provide chapter-specific teaching plans, answer guidance, audience adaptations, printable material, and a teaching sequence that keeps conclusions connected to the passage.

Work through one Bible book with a group

A book page can serve as the center of a weekly or multi-session study. Ruth brings the book's major movements, studies, songs, videos, people, themes, and teaching material together, while the Ruth study library separates beginner material, deeper reflection, and teacher preparation so a group can choose the level that fits.

Use the games with youth and families

The Bible Games page includes trivia, word search, and crossword formats that point players back to the books, people, places, objects, and songs behind the answers. For younger users, interactive features should be used with a parent, guardian, or teacher.

Teach children

The Kids section tells 68 Bible accounts in clear, age-appropriate language, in two bands: ages 8 to 11, with questions, a memory verse, an activity and pictures, and ages 12 to 15, with more detail and a going-deeper note. It suits Sunday school, children's church and families at home, and there is a page for parents and teachers. The Kids pages carry no advertising and no tracking.

Bring music and video into a class

Book pages connect songs and videos to the passages they cover, so media can support a lesson without replacing the biblical text. On Ruth, for example, songs, videos, and study material sit beside the book's movements and Scripture references, making it easier to choose media that actually matches the material being taught.

The music catalogue covers many styles, from hymns and orchestral pieces to rock and pop. Those songs stay in the catalogue: nothing plays inside a study, lesson or teacher guide unless you choose a song and press play. A church that keeps to hymns can start from the Hymns collection.

Build a person or place study

The People of the Bible and Places libraries let a class or study group follow a person or location across the passages where that subject appears. Individual pages organize the account in sequence, show the relevant references, and connect related music where it is available.

Serve a multilingual congregation or ministry

Cinematic Bible Songs is published in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Filipino. The four editions are maintained as related but separate catalogs, with titles, explanations, navigation, and learning prompts adapted for the language rather than treated as simple word swaps.

How the material is made and checked

The project begins with Scripture. Educational pages start with what a passage says and distinguish summary, inference, interpretation, and application. Where Protestant, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Jewish, or Messianic Jewish readings differ in a way that helps explain the text, the site aims to present representative views fairly and point readers toward reputable sources. No automated system, single teacher, or denomination is presented as the final authority over every disputed question.

Music and video production begins with passage mapping, lyric drafting, arrangement, and repeated review. The CBS Team checks working files for lyric mismatches and technical problems, and reviews artwork and video scenes for biblical setting, visual clarity, respectful treatment of people, and a useful connection to the passage. You can read the fuller explanation on the method page.

Using it in your church or class

Use it freely in worship, teaching and ministry, without asking first: play the songs, show the videos, project the lyrics, print studies and teacher guides for your group, and include them in a livestream of your service or class. Where it is practical, please credit "Music and study material from Cinematic Bible Songs, cbiblesongs.com." What it does not allow is selling the material or charging for access to it, re-uploading the files elsewhere, or presenting it as your own. The full terms are on Church & Classroom Use.

Ways to work with us

None of the following is required, and none of it means that you or your organization endorses Cinematic Bible Songs.

  • Tell us what you think of one page, including anything that was useful, unclear, incomplete, or difficult to use.
  • Try one study, guide, game, song, or video with one group and tell us what happened in the room.
  • Send us a sermon, lesson or solid piece of teaching on a passage, and we will gladly add a small link to it beside that book or passage, so readers can click through and learn more.
  • Share a page or resource with your congregation, school, ministry, family network, or teaching team if you believe it would serve them.
  • Talk with us about featuring the project or a specific resource in a ministry publication, class resource list, event, interview, or other setting that makes sense for your audience.
  • If your organization wants to help fund continued production, talk with us about supporting or underwriting a specific piece of work, with any sponsorship clearly identified and kept separate from independent teaching conclusions.
