Sharing the foundation

YouVersion announced that its Scripture technology is available at no cost to ministries, Bible organizations, and developers through the YouVersion Platform. The service is designed to help approved websites and apps add Bible reading without building the full technical and licensing system themselves.

More languages in more digital spaces

At the time of the announcement, the embedded reader included 1,487 Bibles from 36 publishers in 1,283 languages. The platform also offers high-level engagement information and optional YouVersion sign-in so readers can carry supported preferences into participating experiences.

A practical form of cooperation

YouVersion says BibleProject and Come and See, the nonprofit that supports The Chosen, are among the early users. The public beta gives other eligible organizations a way to explore the same shared infrastructure.
