Scripture translations reached 100 language communities in 2025
New and revised translations were published in 100 languages used by about 566 million people, including first Scripture translations in 66 languages.

A year of wider access
United Bible Societies reports that Bible Societies published translations in 100 languages during 2025. Those languages are used by about 566 million people. The work included first translations as well as new translations and revisions for communities that already had some Scripture.
First translations for 66 languages
Sixty-six languages used by about 32 million people received their first Scripture translations. The completed work included 13 full Bibles, three New Testaments, and 50 portions of Scripture. New resources also included translations in several sign languages for Deaf communities.
Progress with work still ahead
The same report estimates that 123 million people still have no Scripture in their heart language and more than 1.5 billion do not have access to the full Bible in their language. The new translations mark meaningful progress while showing why the work continues.
