Difficult questions and responsible reading
Separate direct statements, supported conclusions, interpretations, and speculation.
Use this page with the passage open. Follow the references, test each conclusion, and return to the whole book for context.
How evidence is labeled
Explicit means the cited passage states it directly. Scripture-supported joins related passages. Strong inference follows the text closely but is not stated in one sentence. Possible reading and traditional view identify interpretations that should not be confused with certainty. Speculation is not used as a teaching conclusion.
What to notice
- Track who acts, who speaks, who is affected, and what changes.
- Notice repeated promises, failures, rescues, and consequences.
- Do not assume the narrator approves every action that is reported.
