A psalm, a teaching, a language, a word— one at a time, and the meaning made heard. Let prophets be weighed; let speakers give way. The spirit of prophets is not swept away. God is not author of clamor and fear. Let all things edify. Let truth be intelligible and warm. Do everything decently, everything in order; let love give the gathered song its form.
