The Righteous Falls and Rises Again

Proverbs · Bible Songs, Epic & Cinematic, Rock & Metal

Do not envy people bent on evil; Their hearts devise destruction through the night. By wisdom every house is firmly founded, And knowledge fills its chambers with delight. Though the righteous fall seven times, They rise again and stand. But the wicked stumble into trouble, With no faithful ground beneath their hands. Wisdom gives the strength to meet the battle; Counsel multiplies the hope of victory. Rescue those being carried toward destruction; Do not claim that you did not see. Do not celebrate when enemies have fallen; The Lord may see and turn His wrath away. Do not fear the person who does evil; Their lamp will be extinguished in a day. I passed the field belonging to the sluggard; Thorns had covered every broken wall. A little sleep, a little folded resting, And poverty comes marching over all. Though the righteous fall seven times, They rise beneath God's hand. Build with wisdom, guard the weak from ruin; Choose the truth, and once again you stand.
