He Drew Me Out of Many Waters
Psalms · Bible Songs, Classical & Orchestral, Worship & Gospel
I love You, Lord. You are my strength.
You are the rock I stand on,
The wall around me, the one who got me out,
The high place where I am safe.
The ropes of death had wound around me;
The flood of ruin made me afraid.
I called out from the tight place,
And out of His temple He heard my voice.
Then the ground moved.
Smoke, and fire, and darkness under His feet.
He bent the sky and came down.
He rode on the wind.
He reached down from above and took hold of me.
He drew me out of many waters.
He brought me out into open country,
Because He was glad to have me.
Gentle with the gentle, straight with the straight,
Clean with the clean , that is how You meet us.
You save the ones who have been worn down
And bring the proud look low.
You light my lamp;
My God turns my dark into morning.
Your way is whole and nothing in it fails;
Your word has been through the fire and holds.
You make my feet sure like a deer on the ridge
And set me on the high ground.
Your right hand held me up,
And it was Your gentleness that made me great.
The Lord lives.
Blessed be my rock.
I will thank You out loud among the nations
And sing to Your name.
