My Times Are in Your Hand
Psalms · Bible Songs, Classical & Orchestral, Worship & Gospel
In You, Lord, is where I have put my weight;
Never let me be left ashamed.
Get me out, because You are right.
Bend down and listen to me;
Get me out quickly.
Be the solid rock for me,
A house built strong enough to save me.
You are my rock and the wall around me,
So lead me, and steer me, because of the name You carry.
Pull me out of the net they set for me quietly,
Because You are where my strength is.
I put my spirit into Your hands.
You have already bought me back,
Lord, God of what is true.
Be kind to me, Lord, because I am in trouble.
My eye has worn out with grief,
And so has everything inside me.
My life is spent on grieving,
My years on sighing.
I am forgotten the way a dead man is forgotten.
I am a jar that has already broken.
I heard what they whispered;
Fear stood on every side of me
While they put their heads together
And worked out how to take my life.
But I leaned on You, Lord.
I said, You are my God.
My times are in Your hand.
Get me out of the hands
Of the ones who keep coming after me.
How great the goodness is
That You have stored up for the ones who fear You,
That You have made for the ones who lean on You
Right in front of everybody.
You hide them close to Yourself
Away from the pride of men;
You keep them in a shelter
Out of the noise of tongues.
Blessed be the Lord,
Because His kindness astonished me
In a city that held.
Love the Lord, all of you who are His.
Take heart, and He will make your heart strong,
All of you who are waiting on the Lord.
