There is nothing better than having your wrong lifted off you, Your failure put out of sight. There is nothing better than the Lord Keeping no account against you, And nothing crooked left in your spirit. While I stayed quiet about it My bones wore out from groaning all day. Day and night Your hand sat heavy on me; Everything green in me dried up The way ground dries in summer. So I told You what I had done. I stopped covering it over. I said, I am going to lay it out before the Lord, And You lifted the weight of it off me. You are the place I hide. You keep me out of the way of trouble And put songs of getting free All around me. I will show you the road and teach you how to walk it; I will keep my eye on you as you go. Do not be like a horse or a mule With no sense in it, That has to be held by bit and bridle Before it will come near. Sorrow piles up for those who do harm, But mercy circles the one Who leans on the Lord. Be glad in the Lord, all of you who are straight with Him. Let it out , quietly, but let it out.
