I will speak well of the Lord whatever happens; His praise will not leave my mouth. Everything in me is going to boast about the Lord. The ones who have been put low will hear it and be glad. Make the Lord large with me; Let us lift His name together. I went looking for the Lord and He answered me And got me out from under everything I was afraid of. They looked to Him and their faces cleared; They were not sent away ashamed. Taste it and see for yourself how good the Lord is. It goes well for anyone who shelters in Him. This poor man called out, and the Lord heard, And saved him out of every tight place he was in. The angel of the Lord camps around The people who fear Him, and gets them out. Respect the Lord, you who belong to Him, Because the ones who fear Him do not go without. Young lions run short and go hungry, But those who go looking for the Lord Will not be missing anything good. Come here, all of you; listen to me. I will teach you what it is to fear the Lord. Which of you wants a life, And wants enough days to see something good in them? Then keep your tongue off what is evil And your lips off saying what is false. Turn away from harm and do good; Go after peace, and keep going after it. The eyes of the Lord are on the ones doing right, And His ears are open to the sound they make. The Lord stays close to people whose hearts have broken And saves the ones whose spirit has been crushed. Plenty goes wrong for those who do right, But the Lord brings them out of all of it. The Lord buys back the lives of the ones who serve Him, And not one who shelters in Him is left desolate.
