Be Still and Know
Psalms · Bible Songs, Classical & Orchestral, Worship & Gospel
God is where we go and what holds us up,
Help that is already here when the trouble starts.
So we are not going to be afraid
Even if the earth gets moved
And the mountains are carried into the middle of the sea,
Even if the water roars and churns
And the hills shake with the swell of it.
There is a river, and its streams
Make the city of God glad,
The holy place where the Most High lives.
God is in the middle of her; she will not be moved.
God will help her, and He will do it early.
The nations went wild, the kingdoms were shaken.
He let out His voice and the earth melted.
The Lord who commands heaven's armies is here with us;
Jacob's God is the place we run to.
Come and look at what the Lord has done,
At the ruins He has left across the earth.
He stops wars to the far end of the world;
He snaps the bow and cuts the spear through
And burns the chariot in the fire.
Let go. Stand quiet.
Understand that I am God.
They will lift Me high among the nations;
They will lift Me high across the earth.
The Lord who commands heaven's armies is here with us;
Jacob's God is the place we run to.
