Why boast in evil, mighty man of violence? The goodness of the Lord still lasts all day. Your tongue designs destruction like a razor, Choosing lies above the truth. You love every word that swallows others, Every crooked phrase that wounds a name. Therefore God will uproot all your shelter And tear you from the land of life. The righteous will behold and learn with reverence: “This is the one who would not make God strength, Who trusted in abundance and in riches, Growing bold through wickedness.” But I am like a green olive tree Growing in the house of God. I trust His faithful mercy through the ages; I will wait upon His name.
