Until I Entered the Sanctuary

Psalms · Bible Songs, Classical & Orchestral, Worship & Gospel

Surely God is good to those whose hearts are clean, Yet my feet had nearly slipped away. I envied proud and prosperous evildoers, Watching ease attend them every day. I could not understand the weight before me Until I entered God's holy place. Then I saw the ending of the wicked, How a moment sweeps their ground away. I was bitter, ignorant, and wounded, Like a beast that could not comprehend. Still You held my right hand through my blindness; You will guide and take me in the end. Whom have I in heaven but You? Earth holds nothing I desire beside You. Though my flesh and heart may fail completely, God remains my portion and my strength. It is good for me to draw near God And declare His works.
