My soul, give blessing to the Lord; Everything within me, name Him holy. Never let His kindnesses slip from memory, All the gifts His faithful hands have made. He forgives iniquity and heals us, Redeems life from ruin and the grave. Crowns us with compassion and with kindness, Renews our strength like eagles in the sky. He works justice for the oppressed. He is merciful and slow to anger. He has not repaid us as our sins deserve, But carries them off to where no one can find them. A father's tenderness toward his children Is how He treats the dust that we are made of. Human days are grass before the wind, But His mercy is forever on those who fear Him.
