Lord, You have looked through me and know me, Know my sitting, rising, every thought. Before one word has reached my tongue, You have understood the whole of it. Is there anywhere I could go And leave Your Spirit behind me? If I climb to heaven, You are already there; If I lie down in darkness, Your hand still holds me. You built my inward parts in secret, Wove me in my mother's womb. I praise You; I was made in awe and wonder; Your eyes saw every unformed day. How costly are Your thoughts toward me, Outnumbering the sand beside the sea. When I wake, I am with You still; No darkness hides the road ahead of me. Look through me, God, and learn my heart. Test me and bring each anxious thought to light. See whether any wicked path remains, And walk me in the way that never ends.
