Lord, I call; make haste to answer. Hear my voice when I cry to You. Let my prayer rise like incense, And my lifted hands like evening sacrifice. Set a watch before my mouth. Guard the doorway of my lips. Do not bend my heart toward evil Or let me share the feast of wickedness. Let the righteous strike me as a kindness; Let correction be like oil upon my head. My prayer will still oppose the cruel, Even when their judges fall. My eyes are fixed on You, Lord God. Do not leave my soul exposed. Keep me from the traps they set; Let the wicked fall while I escape.
