The Lamb breaks the first seal and thunder calls the vision forward. A white horse enters through the opened edge of judgment. The rider lifts a bow beneath the eyes of heaven. A crown is granted to him; power is given, not possessed. The White Horse The Lamb has broken what no hand could open. The thunder calls, and history rides forth. Every crown and sword remains beneath the throne. He turns from the throne toward the roads of earth. The horse goes forth beneath a widening sky. No rider moves beyond the measured command. The sealed decree advances toward its appointed end. Conquest marks the path behind him and the road ahead. He rides conquering and still to conquer under the opened seal. The White Horse The Lamb has broken what no hand could open. The thunder calls, and history rides forth. Every crown and sword remains beneath the throne. The White Horse

About the passage

Revelation 6: The seals expose conquest, suffering, and judgment

The Lamb opens six seals and the Book of Revelation moves from the heavenly question of worthiness into the consequences disclosed on earth. Four riders bring conquest, violence, scarcity, and death, yet each operates within authority that is given rather than seized. The fifth seal turns from agents of death to murdered witnesses beneath the altar, whose cry for judgment receives both white robes and the difficult instruction to wait. The sixth seal shakes the apparently stable order of sun, moon, stars, sky, mountains, islands, and human rank. Kings and slaves alike seek concealment from the one on the throne and from "the wrath of the Lamb." The chapter ends not with an answer but with a question: who can stand? Revelation leaves that sentence open so the next vision can show a sealed and worshiping people who do.
