A Great Multitude Before the Throne
Revelation · Chillsynth
[Verse 1]
Four winds wait at the corners.
Judgment pauses for the seal.
From every tribe of Israel,
one hundred forty-four thousand are numbered,
the living God's name upon them.
[Refrain]
Who are these in white?
They came through great tribulation.
They washed their robes in the Lamb's blood;
now they stand before the throne.
[Verse 2]
No nation can count the multitude,
every kindred, people, and tongue.
Palms rise in their hands;
salvation belongs to God and to the Lamb.
Angels and elders fall upon their faces,
answering blessing, glory, wisdom, and might.
[Interlude]
[Verse 3]
No hunger. No thirst.
No sun shall strike them with heat.
The Lamb in the midst becomes their Shepherd,
leading them to living fountains;
God wipes every tear from their eyes.
[Bridge]
The seventh seal opens.
Heaven keeps silence about half an hour.
Incense climbs with the prayers of saints;
fire from the altar falls to the earth,
voices, thunder, lightning, earthquake.
[Outro]
Before the throne, day and night,
the white-robed multitude serves.
