Worthy Is the Lamb
Revelation · Concerto Grosso
[Intro]
Jasper light. Emerald bow.
A throne beyond the opened door.
[Verse 1]
Thunder speaks around the crystal sea.
Seven lamps are burning.
Four living creatures, wakeful with eyes,
give glory without resting.
Twenty-four elders leave their crowns
before the One who made all things.
[Instrumental]
[Verse 2]
A scroll lies full in the right hand,
written within, sealed sevenfold.
The strong angel calls; no creature answers.
I weep where no one can open.
Then an elder turns my grief:
The Lion of Judah has prevailed.
I look, and there stands a Lamb once slain.
[Chorus]
Take the book. Break every seal.
Worthy is the Lamb.
Blood has purchased every kindred and tongue;
worthy is the Lamb.
[Verse 3]
Harps and golden vials rise,
the prayers of saints before the throne.
Ten thousand times ten thousand answer:
power and riches, wisdom and strength,
honour and glory and blessing.
[Refrain]
From heaven, earth, beneath, and sea,
every creature sends one tide:
blessing to him who sits enthroned,
and to the Lamb for ever.
[Outro]
Four living creatures: Amen.
The elders fall. The crowns lie down.
