Righteousness, Peace, and Joy
Romans · Power Electronics
[Verse 1]
One eats freely, one chooses the herbs;
one keeps a day, one treats days alike.
Who are we to despise a servant God holds?
Each gives thanks beneath the same light.
[Chorus]
The kingdom is not the cup or the plate;
not victory won in a doubtful debate.
Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Spirit,
receive one another, and let the world hear it.
[Verse 2]
None of us lives to himself alone,
none of us dies outside of the Lord.
Christ died and rose to be Lord of us all;
why turn a brother's path into court?
[Bridge]
I will not set a stone where you walk.
I will not make you fall for my freedom.
If food brings grief to the one Christ redeemed,
love will surrender what pride would keep.
[Verse 3]
Follow the things that make for peace,
build up the work that God began.
Blessed is the heart that does not condemn
itself in the choices held in its hand.
[Refrain - final]
The kingdom is righteousness, peace, and joy;
not brother against sister, not strong against frail.
Before the one Lord every knee will bow.
Receive one another. Receive one another now.
