Let's
Shepherds ran beneath the shining sky, Simeon held salvation drawing
nigh.
Hannah spoke redemption in the court,
and at twelve the sun was found where teachers taught From
the lowly to the lonely From the roadside to the room
Luke keeps turning toward the ones The crowd would pass and
leave behind too soon This is the road that Luke laid
down Good news moving town to town The lost are sought,
the bound set free The blind find a light the poor
receive From manger straw to Calvary From empty tomb to Bethany
The son of man came seeking what was lost And mercy
walked the whole road to the cross
A desert voice made crooked pathways plain The Jordan opened under
heaven's refrain Forty hungry days could not persuade The faithful son
to take the tempter's trade Nazareth heard scripture meet the day
Then raged your neighbors toward the cliffside away Empty nets grew
heavy at his word. The sick rose up and sinners' mercy
heard.
A widow met a living son again. A weeping woman washed
his feet from shame. 5 ,008 where little could be found.
And glory clothed the mountain all around. A wounded stranger found
a neighbor's hand. Mary chose to hear and understand A wasted
son came home through open doors While Lazarus was carried from
the poor man's sores This is the road that Luke laid
down Good news moving town to town The lost, sought, the
bound set free The blind find a light the poor receive
from angels draw Calvary from empty tomb to Bethany the son
of man came seeking what was lost and mercy walk the
whole road to the cross Zacchaeus came down when his name
was heard Jerusalem drew tears before a word
Bread was broken, covenant filled the cup The garden darkened as
the swords came up One dying thief saw kingship through the
pain Then morning found the stone rolled back again Emmaus' hearts
burned bright along the road And open minds could see what
Scripture showed This is the road that Luke laid down
From promised child to heavenward glory
Repentance, pardon, news for every land
A risen Lord with blessing in his hands. From angel star
to Calvary. From empty tomb to Bethany. They watched him rise,
then turned with joy to praise. And Luke leaves Jerusalem.
Waiting for the coming days.
An orderly account A certain word A road of
mercy Seen and heard
Thank you.
