This is the book of Micah, a song of judgment, justice,

and mercy.

The Lord has seen the hidden scales

The fields they stole by night The hands that built on

crooked stones Will stand in open light What does the Lord

require When the nation walks through fire Do justice, love

mercy Walk humbly with your God

They bless the rich for silver They sell their peace for

bread They call the darkness holy While the poor are left

for dead But Bethlehem small and hidden From you the ruler

comes He will stand and shepherd in the strength of the

Lord.

Swords will bend the plows. War will lose its sound.

Every weary soul will sit beneath the shade.

What does the Lord require when mercy answers fire?

Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly with your God.

I will look unto the Lord Though I fall I shall

rise Who is a God like you Casting sins into the

sea You remember mercy
