Chosen and holy, beloved by God, put on compassion before you go out. Kindness and lowliness, gentleness, patience— clothing for roads where the body is strained. Above all these things put on love, the bond that makes the scattered complete. Let the peace of Christ rule deep in the heart; one body was called into peace. Forbear one another; forgive the complaint. Do not pretend there was never a pain. As Christ has forgiven, extend what you received; mercy has memory, yet chooses release. Let Christ's word dwell richly among you, in wisdom, in teaching, in songs full of grace. Psalms and hymns rise from thankful hearts; let every deed bear the Lord Jesus' name. Above all these things put on love. Let gratitude strengthen the fastening. Whatever you speak, whatever you do, give thanks to the Father through Him.
