Lyrics · Ezekiel
I Will Seek That Which Was Lost
Ezekiel 34:1-31
[Litany]
The shepherd wore wool while the weak disappeared,
The lost will be sought, the wounded bound,
He drank from clear water then muddied the stream.
The cloudy-day sheep will be gathered from nations.
The broken were left and the driven stayed lost,
The lost will be sought, the wounded bound,
A flock without care became meat for the field.
The cloudy-day sheep will be gathered from nations.
[Verse 2]
But judgment also moves through the flock,
Between those who are hungry and those who trample.
No shoulder may shove the small from the spring,
No leader may feast on the life he should guard.
[Refrain]
The lost will be sought, the wounded bound,
The cloudy-day sheep will be gathered from nations.
[Bridge]
One shepherd from David will stand over all,
A covenant of peace will quiet the land.
You are my flock, not food for the proud,
The Shepherd will seek and the scattered come home.
[Final Chorus]
The lost will be sought, the wounded bound,
The cloudy-day sheep will be gathered from nations.
The Shepherd will seek and the scattered come home.
