[Alarm] I marvel how quickly the turning began, From grace into teaching fashioned by man. Not that another true gospel exists, But some trouble hearts and pervert what is Christ's. [Chorus] No other gospel, Though an angel from heaven should carry the claim. If any preach contrary to what was received, Let judgment remain on the counterfeit name. No other gospel, The grace of Christ cannot be traded away. [Verse I] Do I persuade people or seek human praise? A servant of Christ cannot live by that gauge. The gospel was not learned from a teacher's design, But Jesus revealed it in sovereign time. [Conversion Movement] The churches had heard of the former old rage, How faith was destroyed by the zeal of his age. But God, who had set him apart from the womb, Revealed His Son and redirected the road. [Bridge] He went not at once to consult flesh and blood, But carried the calling where silence had stood. The one who once persecuted now preached, And churches glorified God for the change they could see. [Final Chorus] No other gospel, No pleasing of men can establish the word. Grace called the enemy, grace formed the witness, And glory returned to the God who transformed. [Outro] The messenger was changed, But the gospel was not.

About the passage

Galatians 1: Paul refuses to make the gospel a matter of approval

Paul opens the Book of Galatians by putting the dispute inside his greeting. His apostleship is not traced to a human appointment, and Christ’s self-giving is named as deliverance before any accusation appears. Then the letter turns abruptly: the Galatians are moving toward a distorted gospel, and Paul places even himself or an angel from heaven under the authority of the message already received. His own past becomes evidence. A man who once advanced through zeal while persecuting the church now preaches the faith he tried to destroy. He credits that reversal to God’s calling and revelation, not to instruction from Jerusalem. The precise chronology of his later visit to Peter and James further limits what those contacts can explain. Judaean churches knew the transformation by report before they knew Paul by face, and their response was to glorify God.
