Isaiah
[Vision Opening] In the year King Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the throne set high. The train filled all the temple floor; Six-winged seraphim stood by. Two wings covered every face, Two concealed the feet from sight, Two bore each one through the air Around the everlasting light. [Seraph Refrain] Holy, holy, holy, Lord of hosts above. All the earth is full of glory; Thresholds shake beneath the sound. Holy, holy, holy, Smoke fills sacred ground. [Verse 2] Isaiah cried, "Woe is me, A man of lips unclean, Dwelling in a people stained, Yet now the King is seen." One seraph flew with altar coal, Touched his mouth where guilt had lain: "Thine iniquity is taken, And thy sin is purged from stain." [Call and Answer] Whom shall the Lord send? Who will go? Here am I. Send me. Though ears grow dull And eyes refuse, The prophet still must speak and see. [Final Refrain] Holy, holy, holy, Mercy met the trembling one. A remnant like a rooted stump Would wait beneath the sun. Here am I. Send me.
