Better to dwell upon a lonely rooftop Than share a house with constant angry strife. Treasures won by lies are drifting vapor; Violence will sweep the violent away. Whoever shuts an ear against the needy Will cry one day and find no answering voice. No wisdom, counsel, strength, or preparation Can stand against the purpose of the Lord. The horse may be prepared against the battle, But victory belongs to God alone. Guard the tongue, pursue the righteous pathway; Let a faithful heart become your home.
