The Voice of My Weeping
Psalms · Bible Songs, Classical & Orchestral
Do not rebuke me in the heat of anger;
Do not correct me in consuming fire.
Have mercy, Lord, for I am weakened;
My bones are troubled and my soul is tired.
How long, O Lord, how long?
Return and rescue me.
Save me, not because my strength is worthy,
But for the sake of mercy.
Night after night my bed is flooded;
My eyes grow dim beneath the grief.
I have no song to give the grave;
Deliver me while breath remains in me.
Go from me, workers of destruction;
The Lord has heard the voice of all my tears.
He receives the prayer I could barely offer;
My enemies will turn away in fear.
How long became a cry You answered.
Mercy came where strength had ceased.
The Lord has heard the voice of my weeping;
The Lord receives my plea.
