The Lord is the one who keeps me; There is nothing I am short of. He sits me down where the grass is new And walks me out to water that is not moving. He brings my life back to me. He takes me along the right tracks Because that is the kind of name He has. Even walking the ravine where the shadow falls like death I will not be afraid of anything, Because You are here. Your stick and Your staff, they steady me. You lay a table for me Right in front of the ones who are against me. You pour oil over my head. My cup will not stop overflowing. Nothing but goodness and mercy will come after me Every day that I am alive, And the house of the Lord is where I will stay For as long as there is time.
