Remember the Ruins of Your Sanctuary
Psalms · Bible Songs, Epic & Cinematic, Worship & Gospel
Why have You cast Your flock away so long?
Why does anger smoke against Your own?
Remember those You purchased in the ages,
And Zion where Your dwelling place was known.
Lift Your feet toward everlasting ruins.
Enemies have broken every holy thing.
They raised their signs where Your assembly gathered,
Burned the place appointed for Your name.
We do not see our signs or hear a prophet;
No one knows how long the night will stay.
Will the adversary mock Your name forever?
Draw Your hand from hiding; make a way.
You divided seas and crushed the monsters,
Set the sun and moon, the winter and the heat.
Remember covenant, the poor, and darkness;
Do not leave the oppressed beneath their feet.
Rise, O God, and plead Your own cause.
Do not forget the voice of those who rise against You.
