Babylon the Great Is Fallen
Revelation · Bible Songs, Epic & Cinematic, Classical & Orchestral
A mighty angel lights the earth and cries that Babylon has fallen.
Devils and foul spirits claim the ruins of the proud city.
Nations drank her wine; kings and merchants fed on excess.
A voice from heaven calls God’s people out before the plagues.
Fallen is the city that made the nations drunken.
Her splendour turns to smoke within a single hour.
Come out from her and give the glory unto God.
Her sins have climbed to heaven and her violence is remembered.
Double is returned into the cup she mixed for others.
No jeweled cup can hide the blood within it.
The merchants mourn, but heaven remembers justice.
She said no widow’s sorrow ever would approach her throne.
In one day come death, mourning, famine, and consuming fire.
Babylon the Great Is Fallen
Fallen is the city that made the nations drunken.
Her splendour turns to smoke within a single hour.
Come out from her and give the glory unto God.
