[Refrain] The books are opened. The dead, small and great, stand. What was hidden gives account before the great white throne. [Verse 1] An angel descends with key and chain, binds the dragon for a thousand years, shuts and seals the bottomless pit. Thrones receive the faithful witnesses; they live and reign with Christ. Blessed and holy in the first resurrection, the second death has no power over them. [Interlude] [Verse 2] When the thousand years are finished, Satan is loosed to deceive the nations. Gog and Magog encircle the beloved city; fire from God descends and devours them. The devil is cast into the lake of fire, where beast and false prophet remain. [Verse 3] Then the throne appears, great and white. Earth and heaven flee from his face. The sea gives up its dead; Death and Hell deliver theirs. Each is judged from the written works, and another book,the book of life. [Breakdown] Death and Hell enter the lake of fire. This is the second death. Whoever is not found written in the book of life is cast into that lake. [Outro] No hiding place remains. The books are opened.
