What this page covers
Where the videos go in Daniel
The videos here take Daniel as a whole rather than one passage at a time, so this is the ground they cover: “Four Boys and a Furnace”, “A King Who Ate Grass, and Writing on a Wall”, “Beasts Out of the Sea”, “Seventy Weeks” and “The Man Clothed in Linen”.
Four Boys and a Furnace (Daniel 1–3). Teenagers taken to Babylon are given new names, a new language and the king’s food, and they ask for vegetables and water instead. Nebuchadnezzar demands that somebody tell him both the dream and its meaning, and Daniel describes a statue of gold, silver, bronze and iron struck by a stone cut without hands. Then three of them refuse to bow and say their God can rescue them, but if he does not, they still will not bow.
The Man Clothed in Linen (Daniel 10–12). After three weeks of mourning he sees a man in linen by the river and is told the answer was sent on the first day and was held up on the way. What follows is the most detailed and least decorated prophecy in the Old Testament, kings of the north and the south pushing at each other for generations. It ends with a resurrection, some to everlasting life and some to shame, and an instruction to seal the book and go his way until the end.
