Begin with Scripture. Know when a source offers historical evidence, interpretation or illustration.
Explicit in Scripture: directly stated in the cited passage. Textual inference: an argument from the text, with its basis stated. Interpretive view: a reading that other careful readers may dispute. Historical comparison: a real text or object that supplies context. Artistic reconstruction: visual choices that are not themselves evidence.
The KJV chapter text is reproduced separately from original commentary. Linked works remain on their publishers’ websites. Inclusion of a source does not imply agreement with all its conclusions.
