Judah and Israel Dwelt Safely

1 Kings 4:1-34

[Verse 1] Solomon reigns over all Israel with a defined royal administration. The first officers are assigned across Ephraim, Makaz. Asher, Issachar, Benjamin, and Gilead complete the administrative circuit. Solomon's dominion reaches from the river to Philistia and Egypt's border. [Pre-Chorus] The long night ended, fear released its hold, And every household heard the story told. [Chorus] Judah and Israel Dwelt Safely, let the feast begin, Joy returned where grief and fear had been. The people sang because the word held true, And every generation learned what God could do. [Verse 2] Solomon maintains thousands of horse stalls and twelve thousand horsemen. The district officers supply the king and his guests without lack. Barley and straw are delivered for horses and swift animals. His wisdom exceeds the east country and all the learning of Egypt. [Bridge] He speaks three thousand proverbs and composes one thousand five songs. Solomon teaches about trees from cedar to hyssop. He also speaks concerning beasts, birds, creeping things. People and kings from every nation come to hear Solomon's wisdom. [Final Chorus] Judah and Israel Dwelt Safely, let the feast begin, Joy returned where grief and fear had been. The people sang because the word held true, And every generation learned what mercy still could do. [Outro] The feast became a memory to keep. Joy learned the name of those who once would weep.
