Isaiah Pt. 2, The Mountain of the Lord

Isaiah

Comfort, comfort my people, saith your God Her warfare is accomplished, her iniquity is pardoned A voice cries out across the barren ground Prepare the way of the Lord, make the crooked straight The glory of the Lord shall be revealed And the word of our God shall stand They that wait upon the Lord shall mount up They shall rise like eagles on the wind They shall run and not be weary They shall walk and not grow faint Comfort, oh comfort my people They that wait shall rise again He was despised and we esteemed him not A man of sorrows known to grief and shame We hid our faces, turned our eyes from him Never knowing he would take our blame He was wounded for our transgressions Bruised for the wrong that we have done The chastisement of peace was upon him By His stripes our healing had begun Laid as a lamb, He opened out His mouth He poured out all the Father had allowed Arise and shine, thy light is come The glory of the Lord upon thee shines Behold, he makes all things new And his people shall mourn no more The word of our God shall stand forever He is the Holy One of Israel
