[Verse 1] Crowds crossed fields to find Him; Compassion met them on the shore. All day He healed and taught them Till the sun would give no more. The disciples saw the distance, Named the villages and need: "Send them off to buy provision." The answer came, "Give ye them to eat." [Counting Refrain] Five loaves. Two fish. Five thousand men in grass. Twelve hands serving, Twelve baskets when it passed. [Verse 2] A boy's small meal was brought before Him; He blessed and broke the bread. Ranks of fifty, ranks of hundred, Every hungry person fed. Hands returned for more and carried; No one waited, no one lacked. What looked too little in the beginning Came home in baskets packed.
