I will sing the mercies of the Lord forever; Every generation hears Your faithfulness. You established covenant with David, Promising his throne would stand. Heaven praises all Your wonders. Who among the mighty is like You? You still storms and crush the pride of oceans; Righteousness and justice hold Your throne. Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound, Walking in the brightness of Your face. You are glory, strength, and shield among them; Our king belongs to Israel's Holy One. Yet now the crown lies low and is rejected; Walls are broken, enemies rejoice. You have shortened all the ruler's youthful days; How long will You hide? Where is Your former lovingkindness, Sworn to David in Your truth? Remember human life is brief, And bear in mind the insults on Your servants.
