Where the videos go in Amos
The one video here reaches 1 of the 4 movements in Amos: “For Three Transgressions, and for Four” (Amos 1–2).
For Three Transgressions, and for Four (Amos 1–2). A shepherd from Tekoa works his way round the map, naming the crimes of Damascus, Gaza, Tyre, Edom, Ammon and Moab, and every listener would have nodded along at each one. Then Judah. Then Israel, and the crimes turn out not to be foreign atrocities but domestic ones: they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes.
Not on video here yet: “Come to Bethel and Transgress”, “Woe to Them That Are at Ease in Zion” and “A Basket of Summer Fruit”.
