[Verse 1] Paul returned to Jerusalem, Though warnings shadowed every mile. A riot rose within the temple; Soldiers carried him from trial. On the castle stair he witnessed, Told the road that changed his name. A plot of forty men was broken; Night moved him from their claim. [Refrain] To Rome, Through council, governor, and king. To Rome, The witness still must speak. Chains cannot cancel calling, Storm cannot erase the road. To Rome, The prisoner carried the word. [Verse 2] Before Felix, Festus, Agrippa, Paul declared the risen hope. He appealed unto Caesar; The sea became the final scope. Euroclydon struck the vessel; Fourteen nights no stars were shown. Paul urged courage: all lives guarded, Though the ship would not go home. [Storm Chorus] Cut the anchors. Loosen rudder. Drive the bow toward unknown shore. Waves broke shipwood near Melita; Two hundred seventy-six reached shore. A viper fastened; Paul shook it; The island watched and healing came. [Final Verse] Three months later, Rome received him, Soldiers chained him in a house. For two full years he taught the kingdom, No man forbidding what he spoke. To Rome, The book ends open, The gospel moving past the page.
