Christ crucified was set before your eyes; who turned your hearing from faith into pride? Did the Spirit come by the work of your hand, or by hearing the word and believing its claim? Begun in the Spirit, will flesh make you whole? The God who works wonders still answers through faith. The just shall live by faith. Abraham believed, and righteousness came. All nations are called to the blessing he heard; not earned by the flesh, but received through the word. The law names a curse for the work left undone; no one is justified under that sun. Christ bore the curse when He hung on the tree; He entered our sentence and purchased us free. Blessed with faithful Abraham, strangers now enter the promise. The Spirit once pledged comes through Jesus Christ; faith opens both hands to receive it. The just shall live by faith. The cross has carried the curse away. The blessing of Abraham reaches the nations; we receive the Spirit through faith.
