[Intro] Beyond the opened heavens stands Jesus, the Son of God, our great High Priest. [Verse 1] Hold fast the confession. He feels the weight of our infirmity, tempted in every point as we are, yet the stain of sin never touched him. [Chorus] Come boldly to the throne of grace; mercy waits there, grace arrives there, help is given in the hour of need. [Verse 2] Earthly priests are taken from among men, offering gifts with compassion for the wandering. Honor is received by God's call, as Aaron did not crown himself. [Bridge] The Son did not seize the priestly glory. With strong crying and tears he prayed; through suffering he learned obedience, and became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey him. [Verse 3] Leave the milk when the season asks for strength; exercise the senses to discern. The word is deep, the calling holy, the mature receive the stronger food. [Outro] Hold fast. Come near.
