Blessed Are They That Have Not Seen, and Yet Have Believed

John · Dream Trance

[Intro] Thomas was not with them when the risen Lord had come. [Verse 1] We have seen the Lord, the other disciples said. Unless I see the nail-prints in His hands, And put my finger where the iron left its mark, And reach into His side, I will not understand. [Verse 2] Eight days later they were gathered within; Thomas stood among them, every doorway closed. Then Jesus came and stood amid the room: Peace be unto you, He spoke. [Refrain] My Lord and my God! My Lord and my God! [Bridge] Reach hither thy finger; behold My hands. Reach hither thy hand and touch My side. Be not faithless now, but believing. Thomas saw, and all his answer opened wide. [Verse 3] Because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed; Blessed are they who have not seen and yet believe. Many other signs were done before the disciples, More than the pages of this witness could receive. [Outro] These are written that ye might believe: Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; And believing, ye might have life through His name.
