[Verse 1] Moses was gone, and Jordan stood between the camp and promise, Then God called Joshua to rise and lead the people forward. Every place beneath their feet would answer to the covenant, No enemy could stand if he would keep the law before him. [Pre-Chorus] Day and night the words remained, Courage grew from walking in the way. [Chorus] Be strong and very courageous, Do not turn to left or right. [Verse 2] Officers prepared the food, the eastern tribes renewed their pledge, Then two spies crossed toward Jericho and entered Rahab's house. She hid them under flax and sent the king's men toward the river, For fear had seized the land through what the God of Israel had done. [Bridge] Rahab named the LORD as God of heaven and of earth, Asked that father, mother, brothers, sisters all be spared. A scarlet cord would mark the house, the spies escaped the wall, Then came to Joshua saying all the land had lost its heart.
