[Verse 1] Priests and Levites bore the holy charge and lived from sacred gifts, Tithes became the Levites' portion, and a tenth returned to priests. A red heifer burned outside with cedar, hyssop, scarlet thread, Its ashes joined with living water cleansed the touch of death.
