[Verse 1] Naomi blessed the daughters who had loved both living and dead, Kissed them on the road and told them, “Find another house and rest.” They lifted up their voices, but the future drew a line, Orpah turned toward Moab; Ruth held fast and would not leave. She had left with husband, sons, and hope, returned with Ruth alone, Yet barley stood at harvest when the two came home together.
