Let Heaven and Earth Hear

Deuteronomy 31:1-32:52

[Verse 1] Moses stood at one hundred twenty, Jordan on the other side, Named Joshua before the people and told the nation not to fear. The law was written for the priests to read each seventh year, Then cloud came down at the tabernacle with a warning for the future. [Pre-Chorus] Israel would turn to strangers, So a song would testify against them. [Chorus] Let heaven and earth hear, Let the doctrine fall like rain. The Rock is perfect in His working, But a crooked generation left the One who gave them name. [Verse 2] God found them in the desert, kept them as the apple of His eye, Like an eagle stirred the nest and bore the young on lifted wings. Jeshurun grew fat and left the Rock who formed and fed him, Foreign gods provoked the LORD, and judgment gathered in the song. [Bridge] Yet the LORD would judge His people and have pity when strength failed, False gods could not deliver, none could wound or heal beside Him. Nations were called to rejoice when vengeance cleansed the land, Then Moses named the law their life and climbed toward Nebo. [Final Chorus] Let heaven and earth hear, Let the doctrine fall like rain. The Rock will judge and show compassion, And the song will stand as witness when the people turn away. [Outro] The final lesson became music, And the mountain waited.
