Hosanna to the Son of David

Matthew · Electro Trance

[Intro - hoofbeat pickup] Loose the ass and the colt. If any man ask: The Lord hath need of them. The disciples went as Jesus commanded; The road toward Jerusalem opened. [Refrain - procession] Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord! Garments underfoot, branches in the way, Hosanna in the highest! [Verse 1 - prophecy in motion] Tell the daughter of Sion: Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, Meek, and sitting upon an ass, Upon a colt, the foal of an ass. Before Him and behind Him the multitudes answered; The city moved and asked, Who is this? [Post-Chorus - answer] This is Jesus the prophet, Of Nazareth of Galilee. [Breakdown - temple] He entered the temple of God. Tables of moneychangers overturned; Seats of them that sold doves fell. My house shall be called the house of prayer; Ye have made it a den of thieves. [Verse 2 - praise contested] The blind and the lame came near in the temple; He healed them there. Chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things. Children cried, Hosanna to the Son of David! They were sore displeased. Hearest Thou what these say? [Refrain - children carry it] Yea. Have ye never read? Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings Thou hast perfected praise. Hosanna to the Son of David! [Outro - road quiets] He left them and went out of the city. He lodged that night in Bethany.
